Frequently Asked Questions

How does Wing Woman work?

Wing Woman is a unique complex of herbs, vitamins and active ingredients that is there for both strengthening your Immune System and Bladder linings to reduce the risk of UTIs. It helps to neutralise the inflammation-causing bacteria in your bladder by binding to them and preventing them from attaching to the bladder wall. So they are simply flushed out when you go to the bathroom.

Wing Woman also contains plenty of vitamin B2, which strengthens the bladder lining to better defend against bacteria. Vitamin D3 from lichen helps in addition to strengthen your Immune System and plays an important role in the inflammatory response to infections within your body. Grapefruit seed extract and organic rosemary powder fight a wide range of bacterial species, perfectly rounding out Wing Woman.

Our unique combination of active ingredients is based on the latest scientific research to give you and your body the best possible support. Wing Woman is gentle and safe enough for everyday use, without building up resistance (like from antibiotics).

What is the recommended dosage of Wing Woman?

Generally, we recommend to take 2-4 capsules daily at the same time every day

If Sex-Associated or Symptomic: 2 capsules right before sex or that day and 2 capsules directly after. It is safe to take 4 capsules a day for a few days if needed.

Wing Woman can be taken with or without food, but with least a glass of water.

How long does a bottle of Wing Woman last for?

This depends on the dosage you use daily. Each bottle contains 120 capsules so if you take two a day, it will last for 2 months.

How long does it take for Wing Woman to work?

Wing Woman can provide benefits almost immediately in terms of strengthening your bladder to help your body against UTIs. To aid against UTI in the long term, it is best advised to take Wing Woman daily and observe the benefits of breaking away from UTIs or experience a huge reduction of UTI recurrences. Antibiotics may be required to clear the infection and then the real long term prevention kicks in. There are complicated forms of UTIs, where there is no way around antibiotics to get rid of harmful bacteria.

Is Wing Woman a treatment for UTIs?

No. Treatment of UTIs is still recommended to be antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals due to the evidence available. Natural products and  food supplements are recommended for strengthening your body and health and can therefore help to reduce the risk of an UTI in the first place.

Are there any side effects or drug interactions with Wing Woman?

There are no known side effects with Wing Woman. Unfortunately the interaction of D-Mannose with medications is not well researched, so we would always advise you to discuss the intake of our Wing Woman capsules with your doctor, if you are on medication already.

Do I need to stop taking Wing Woman while on antibiotics?

Wing Woman is safe to take while on antibiotics and can also help strengthen your bladder lining and work against further bacteria from sticking.

Is Wing Woman safe while Pregnant?

We recommend to discuss with your doctor, if he would recommend taking a D-Mannose product during pregnancy. There is not much research on the effects of D-Mannose intake during pregnancy, so we unfortunately can’t say whether or not taking D-Mannose during pregnancy is safe or potentially harmful for you during your pregnancy.

Is Wing Woman safe for long term use?

Yes! Wing Woman is safe for long term use to help aid against UTIs from occurring. Most patients finding benefit are taking Wing Woman daily ongoing.

What makes Wing Woman different to other products on the market?

Wing Woman is a combination of herbs, vitamins and D-Mannose, which didn’t exist in this combination on the market before. Especially the role of Vitamin D3 as a modulator of the  inflammatory responses in your body was often neglected in the field of food supplements to strengthen the bladder health. In addition most products contain cranberry extract, which effectiveness on the bladder health is still not 100% clear. In addition we want to offer women, suffering from UTIs not just another product, but real advice, because we believe that it takes a holistic approach to prevent and fight UTIs.

What are the ingredients in Wing Woman?

D-Mannose:

D-Mannose is a sugar extracted from birch that is not stored or metabolized by the body (so it has no calories!). Therefore, immediately after absorption into the blood, the body passes the D-mannose to the kidneys and then the bladder, where it can develop its full effect. In the bladder, the D-Mannose molecules bind with the FimH proteins on the outer shell of the E. coli bacteria, so that they can no longer attach to the bladder mucosa or to each other. So they are simply flushed out in the toilet.

Vitamin D3:

When you have an UTI, your body needs extra vitamin D3. This fat-soluble vitamin plays an important role in our immune system and helps reduce inflammation in the body. Vitamin D3 also promotes the production of cathelicidin, an antimicrobial protein that helps neutrophils (specialized immune cells) and macrophages (phagocytes) in our immune system eliminate bacteria. Our bodies can produce the "sunshine vitamin" on their own through UVB radiation, but this amount is often insufficient during the darker seasons of the year and especially in cases of an UTI. Studies have shown that taking extra vitamin D3 can even reduce the risk of recurrent bladder infections.

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin):

Vitamin B2 belongs to the group of water-soluble vitamins. One of its functions is to protect our cells from oxidative stress. This means it helps protect lipids (e.g. in cell walls), DNA and proteins from free radicals. It also supports the normal function of the mucus membranes in our body, which are often the entry barrier for bacteria.

Rosemary powder:

The essential oils in rosemary have been shown in studies to have antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory effects. To give you the best effectiveness, we use an organic rosemary powder and not a rosemary extract. This is because powdered extracts are often dried at high heat, which causes the essential oils to degrade.

Grapefruit seed extract:

According to studies, our grapefruit seed extract is particularly rich in bioflavonoids, which are also antibacterial and antifungal against a wide range of bacterial species and fungi. The perfect complement to our rosemary powder.

What Is Wing Woman’s Hero Ingredient D-Mannose?

D-Mannose is a simple sugar, that is closely related to the glucose found in many fruits, vegetables, and plants. It also occurs naturally in some cells in the human body.

D-mannose is rapidly absorbed and reaches organs within 30 minutes, after which it may be excreted via the urinary tract.

D-Mannose is thought to reduce the capabilities of E.Coli (bacteria often causing bladder infections) to stick together and to create an infection-causing biofilm. If the bacteria does not stick to the bladder lining, they cannot colonize the bladder and cause an infection.

When D-mannose is present in the bladder it binds with the e.coli to allow it to flush out much easier during urination.

Remember to drink with plenty of water to help with this flushing process.

Is Wing Woman vegan and cruelty free?

Most definitely! It is also soy free.

Do I need to refrigerate Wing Woman

No. Wing Woman can be left at room temperature. (Super handy to just have at your bedside table so you remember to take). Should you wish to refrigerate it, there is no harm in doing so.
